Hi, My daughter Evie was diagnosed with CFRD almost 2 years ago (picked up when she was 10 years old through routine screening). She only does long acting insulin once a day before being hooked up to her PEG feeds (she has no apatite and doesn't eat much during the day). I'm wondering if anyone else feels or noticed that after doing insulin for a while their pancreas seems to remember what to do and kicks back in again by producing its own insulin ... so then you have to pull back for a while on the insulin dose ... then the pancreas forgets to produce enough insulin for a while so you have to ramp up the insulin for a few weeks ... and so on. Does this happen to anyone else?
